Professor Adrian Goldman, Ph. D., FRSB
I grew up in England, got a B.A. (Hons.) from Queens’ College, Cambridge and did my Ph. D. with nobelist Tom Steitz at Yale University. After that, I was an assistant professor at Rutgers University (1987-1992), before moving to the University of Turku, Finland (1992-1999) and thence to the University of Helsinki (1999-). In 2013, I was appointed to a Leadership chair at the University of Leeds. I also hold a Lecture Professorship at Nankai University in China.
I have always been interested in how proteins work – and that is still the overriding principle of our research.
